Privacy policy

Who we are
Country Houses Italy is the website of Eric Hellegers and Wil van Ham, private owners who let Villa Gabellotti in Puglia and Villa Grimiti in Calabria. Our address is Wezelstraat 4, 5721 SJ Asten, the Netherlands. You can reach us at eric@
What data we collect and why
When you fill in the contact form, we receive your name, your email address and your message, and, if you fill them in, your phone number and the villa your question is about. We use this data only to answer your question and, if you book with us, to draw up the rental agreement.
When you send a request on a villa’s page, we receive the villa, your arrival and departure dates, the number of guests, whether you are bringing pets, your first and last name, your email address, your phone number and your remarks, and the price the website calculated for that period. We use this data to answer your request and, if you book with us, to draw up the rental agreement. You receive a confirmation of your request by email.
As soon as your booking is final and your stay is approaching, we share your name and phone number with our managers in Italy, so that they can receive you.
Your message or request is sent to us by email and is also stored in the administration area of this website.
How long we keep data
We delete the data of a request without obligation within a month. We keep the data of a booking request for a maximum of 10 years, and then only your name, address, phone number and email address.
Cookies and statistics
This website places no cookies on visitors’ devices: no advertising or tracking cookies and no others either. That is why you see no cookie notice.
- We measure visitor numbers with Koko Analytics. It works without cookies, the data stays on our own website and nothing goes to other parties.
- The availability calendars only show which days are free and what a night costs. You do not book through the website, so the calendars store nothing about you and place no cookie.
- The price calculation on the villa pages works with the dates you choose and does not store them. Only when you send the request do we receive your data.
- The contact form and the request form are protected against spam with Cloudflare Turnstile. Turnstile checks whether the form is filled in by a person and uses no tracking cookies to do so.
- The fonts are on our own server. When you view the website, no information goes to Google or other parties.
- The maps on the villa pages are images on our own server. A link to Google Maps only opens another website when you click it.
Who we share data with
We never sell your data. We share it only with our managers in Italy, as described above, and with our hosting company cocomohosting.nl, where this website runs.
Your rights
You can always ask us what data we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. To do so, send an email to eric@
Do you have a complaint about how we handle your data? You can submit it to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
